What's New & What's Coming!

The Museum has added some major exhibits and displays over the past couple of years, to do with both Gympies' Past and Present.

Below are some of the Latest Attractions that have been added, as well as some attractions to look forward to in the future.

Newest Exhibits / Attractions to the Museum


Repair of Ruston Engine well advanced, should be back running in July. Starting mechanisms for the 3 cylinder Campbell engine also nearing completion ready for a start in July: Restoration of former Queensland Governors Austin 20 now under way The old fellas are barrelling on with the restoration of every item of agricultural equipment they can find

Future Exhibits / Attractions to the Museum


The former Scottish Gympie Mine site is clean up and fencing project is now complete. A stage 1 contamination report is available and the Conservation management Plan is also complete. The next stage is to further secure the main relic area, stabilise the Runge Stamper to prevent it from collapse. Further work will be undertaken on contamination management and heritage development of some parts of the site subject to funding availablitity.--><--CONTENT GOES BETWEEN THE TAGS BELOW -->

Further funding will be pursued to complete the pre-requisites for a development application meeting all local, state and federal government requirements>
