Museum Markets Schedule


The Museum Markets, are located in the beautiful surroundings of the Museum Gardens with Lake Alford and it's parks and picnic areas as a backdrop.
At each of the Markets there will be added attractions, working displays and Special Deals.

The Markets are held on:

The 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday of each month.

Other Special Events


There is also other working displays on show at various dates and times so bring the whole Family and have a Fun Day Out, and discover the History of Gympie and see working attractions.
One of the major attractions is the running of the Boiler and associated Steam Winding Engine, Compressor and Generator.

The next Running and Steaming Days are:


The good news is that the 104 year old boiler repairs have now been satisfacorily completed and we expect to be back in operation for the Gold Panning Championships on the 9th and 10th October.
All the steam plant will be operating between 10 am and 3 pm both days.

The Gold Mining and Historical Museum, the Mary Valley Historic Rail Museum and the Woodworks Museum will again combined for the second Gympie Ultimate Steam Festival on the 22nd, 23rd, 24th July 2011.
