Museum Markets Schedule


The Museum Markets, are located in the beautiful surroundings of the Museum Gardens with Lake Alford and it's parks and picnic areas as a backdrop.
At each of the Markets there will be added attractions, working displays and Special Deals.

The Markets are held on:

The 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday of each month.

Other Special Events


There is also other working displays on show at various dates and times so bring the whole Family and have a Fun Day Out, and discover the History of Gympie and see working attractions.
One of the major attractions is the running of the Boiler and associated Steam Winding Engine, Compressor and Generator.

The next Running and Steaming Days are:



Next Steaming Day will be Friday 9th, Saturday 10th, Sunday 11th, Monday 12th. April 2010 in conjunction with the Ultimate Steam Festival. Special package deals for all venues.

The Dates and Times for other Special Events and Attractions are:

Big Aussie Breakfast - Tuesday 26th January 2010 from 7 am. Theme for the day will be "Working Machinery" Exhibitors will receive free breakfast and entry to the Museum. Public will enjoy half price entry to the Museum. A talent Quest will be conducted during the morning. Good prizes. Entry forms from the Museum Cafe and selected music stores in Gympie.

Gympie's Ultimate Steam Festival. April 9th - 12th 2010. All welcome, exhibitors and spectators alike. Contact R. Richardson 0408616709 for more information.
